Nick & Nick
Two Friends, One Mission:
"Let’s give as much as we can, to as many as we can, as quickly as we can…”

Our Story
Nick & Nick are two friends who’ve known each other for over twenty years and somewhere along the way, coffee and Catholic education became the center of a shared mission.
Nick B is a veteran and a convert to the Catholic faith. His kids go to the same Catholic school his wife attended, and for him, Catholic education isn’t just about academics - it’s an evangelical opportunity. He sees it as the kind of traditional formation that shapes young people into leaders who can carry the faith into the world.
Nick S grew up in Catholic schools himself. For him, that experience was the foundation for everything else - a traditional education that taught discipline, built character, and set him up for success in life. He knows firsthand the impact that funding CCD programs, K-12 schools, and other grassroots Catholic initiatives can have on students, families, and entire communities.
They are also both fathers. At the heart of Black Cassock Coffee is a desire to make sure our kids - and yours - are formed by a strong, faithful education in good Catholic hands.
And then there’s our good friend, Fr. Coffiey. He’s really the inspiration in all of this. One day, Nick B joked that since Father always wore his cassock - and with a last name like Coffiey - he was practically destined to start a coffee company. We laughed, but the name was catchy. And that catchy name stuck with us. Before long, Black Cassock Coffee went from an offhand, catchy phrase between friends to something real.
Now here we are - offering small batch roasted coffee fresh-to-order, building a community, and making sure that every bag we sell gives back to Catholic education. At the end of the day, this isn’t just about coffee for us. It’s about passing on tradition, strengthening families, and helping form the next generation of Catholic leaders.
